NCIIA E-2 Workshop August

Nonspec attended the NCIIA E-2 workshop August 14-16 at the Greentown Labs in Summerville.  We met some great teams from around the country who are making huge headway in their companies, ranging from making more efficient batteries, to warning truck drivers about upcoming weather, to improving minimally invasive surgery.   We worked through organizing our customer base, further analyzing the value we add to our industry, and learned more about SBIR/STTR grants.

On the Thursday night of the workshop, we joined some of our fellow teams at the Venture Café at the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC).  At this event, we were able to network with fellow entrepreneurs and attend an educational session.  The session we attended was run by the CEO of Vision Framework, Marina Darlow on Creating Freedom : Setting Priorities and Managing Your Time.  In the hour long session, she touched upon the importance of prioritizing, SMART goals, scheduling time in a consistent manner, and the pros and cons of different applications to help with getting things done.

Overall we had a great three days of improving our business plan and timeline and we look forward to the monthly update meetings we have with the NCIIA teaching team in the upcoming months.
