VentureWell Open Minds

After a surprise change in travel plans, the Nonspec team took the overnight train to Washington DC to the 2015 VentureWell Open Conference!  We attended the E-Teams workshop on Friday where we practiced presenting in different styles of voice and story telling.  We also observed a few of our fellow teams conduct a mock investor pitch for a panel of experienced judges. On Saturday we participated in a session discussion on improving entrepreneurship on college campuses, had a wonderful discussion with the Lemelson Foundation, and headed over to the long awaited event at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.  At the museum, we set up our booth and spend 4 hours discussing our product and company with the participants of the conference.  At the end of the long evening, we were voted a close 4th place,  $250 prize, from the tallied paper money available for the attendees to “invest”.

This was a great opportunity to explain our technology and business plan to a wide audience and we were honored to participate.
